Ambush

You can go wrong with a Colleen Coble book and Ambush is no exception! This will grab you from the first page and keep you intrigued to the very end!

My thoughts - I've read every book written by Colleen Cable and this is my all time favourite. I love the strength of the two main characters Paradise Adin and Blake Lawson. You will see how Paradise is struggling with the past and  Blake is there to support Paradise in overcoming all the obstacles. You'll see the strength they have for each others and others around them. It is a story I never wanted to end. It has compassion, love for the Lord, romance and mystery.

Meddling with Mistletoe

"Meddling with Mistletoe" by Liz Johnson is a great holiday book.  As you read this book you will probably think about what an amazing holiday movie for the hallmark channel this would make.  This book has it all romance, humor and family. I really loved all the characters and the storyline. The book was a very easy read and made you feel like you were right there. The main two characters were great!  Whitney has a dream and what will she to achieve it. Daniel is a lonely man with past hurts. Will the mistletoe bring them together!

Death by Misadventure

Death by Misadventure is the first book I've read in the "A Lady Emily Mystery"  series.

Synopsis - In the winter of 1906, Lady Emily and husband Colin are invited to Baroness Ursula Von Duchtel in the Belgian alps. Outside you are able to see the beautiful castle of mad King Ludwig. Inside the villa host a magnificent but eclectic art collection as well as as the other guests. There is a musician, an art dealer and Kaspar the Baroness son-in-law, who it appeared that someone was trying to kill. You will also return forty years earlier to the life of Niels a German lord, who loves to sing and who is friends with King Ludwig.

My thoughts - I found the book to be wonderfully written mystery that has several twist and turns that kept me engaged throughout the book. The descriptions of the mountains with the snow and icicles brought back beautiful image's of when I was there.  I loved seeing the development of the character's and how the mystery unfolded.  I have always been fascinated by the story of King Ludwig and seeing this part of the story gave me insight to what his life could've been like.

I highly recommend "Death by Misadventure"
