In Love's Time by Katie Breslin

I love, love, love this book! What a captivating story from Katie Breslin. She knows how to write the best Christian Fiction.

In the middle of WW1 Captain Marcus Weatherford arrives in Russia on a top secret mission with Russian ballerina posing as his wife. His mind wasn't really on the mission at hand. He was wondering how he was going to get Clara back. On the mission   Marcus ended up in a military hospital with no memory. Clare Danner is a single mother who would do anything to keep here daughter's grandparents from taken her away from Clara. How can she get Marcus to help her when he doesn't remember her or anything else.

What a wonderful story. The author knows how to pull you in from the very beginning. It was hard for me to put down. You will be reading and could not help but wonder what is going to happen next with the characters. I love all the characters but really registered with Clara. She was on a very strong woman whom knew what she wanted especially when it came to her daughter. You have to cheer for Marcus and Clara.

Whirlwind by Dana McNeely

What a great Christian Historical Fiction book by Dana McNeely.  Whirlwind brings a wonderful insight to a biblical story.

Synopsis - Miriam traveled to take care of her cousins son. He worked his way into her heart. Gershon a quiet and kind man who is happy building a life for his wife, son and aging parents. When his wife died, he has to decide if he should wait till his heart heals or marry sooner.  Dov, a young officer has crossed the path of the bird girl whom is from his past. He is a career soldier and he anticipated death in Samaria till the prophet pledged victory.

My thoughts - This is the first book I've read by Dana McNeely. This will not be the last!  Whirlwind is the second book in the "Whispers on the Wind" series. Each book could be read as a stand alone, but I recommend reading the first book "Rain" before Whirlwind.  The storyline was excellent and it was a very fast read. It was hard for me to put down even for a new cup of coffee. I can tell that the author really researched the story in the bible. I'm will spend time now anticipating Dana McNeely's next novel!

Word of Honor by Halee Bridgeman

What a suspenseful and thrilling Christian book by Hallee Bridgeman.  This is the second book in a series by this author.

I think it could be read alone but there are characters from the first book Honor Bound that are in this book. It was about a group of Army special forces the is having to go into Instanbul. Lynda Cutler is a FBI specialtist that was captured by a eco-terrorist and watched as her partner was killed in front of her.  She is the only person who knows what the terrorist looks like.  The characters are well written and also the storyline. I was pulled into the book from the very beginning and couldn't put it down.  I can't wait to read some additional book by Hallee Bridgeman.

Honor Bound by Halee Bridgeman

What a great action pack Christian novel!  This is the first book by this author I've read and is definitely not the last.

The beginning of Honor Bound will pull you in from the very beginning where you will never want to put it down. Oh and the characters they are wonderfully written. Cynthia Myer is a missionary doctor who is working in African where a war is raging. Cynthia was needing to leave, because of her father. They send in the Army Special Forces call A-team. The leader of this mission is Captain Rick Norton. Captain Rick is a hard nosed soldier that had a mission to protect Cynthia and his team.

I love seeing how God was with them throughout this book. If I could say one sentence about this book it would be "No matter your situation God is in control."

I would recommend reading this book in the first book in this series.

Among the Innocent by Mary Alford

What a great, page-turner, and intriguing story written by a new author I've never had the privilege on reading.

The minute I started reading "Among the Innocent" I was pulled into the story, which is something I really love in a book. I fell in love with the two main characters Leah and Dalton. They were down to earth and written where they were likeable from the very beginning.  Leah was a ex Amish that survived the murder of her whole family and the attempted murder of herself. Now years later it is happening again. They realize the man that went to prison wasn't the real killer. Dalton the new police chief has his own reason for investigating the murders.

Read this book that will have you guessing about what next could happen.

A Promise Engraved

When I first read the description of this book by Liz Tolsma I knew I had to read it. I love all of the author book, but I have to say this is my new favorite.

It was well written and I love that it was set in one of the most integrate time in San Antonio history. You'll be pulled into this story by the first few pages. I love the fact that the goes from the past and present.

Josie was a very strong character. She has overcome great struggles in her life.  She finally turned to God for answers she was looking for.  The other character John was a great addition to the story of the book. He was able to use his love for God to help others during these difficult times.

Going forward 200 years, you will meet Kayleigh. She is looking for the ring to determine who killed her parent and in searching she noticed the secret of the ring.

Will each lady find what they are looking for.

The Peoples Princess by Flora Harding

This is the first time I've read a book by Flora Harding. I have to say that I can't wait to read more.

The author wrote a intriguing book and what caught my attention was the title of the book. Every one knows who the people princess is. I remember watching the wedding on t.v. I loved that the book talks about Diana and how her life as a princess began. Her life was also reflected in the life of another princess. Charlotte Princess of Wales in the 1800, has the same struggles with the struggles ,as everyone whom comes from or weds into the Royal family. One thing I noticed is being a royal isn't a easy task and is it really worth it in the end.

The book is worth a rating of 5 out of 5

I will gladly recommend this book to others

The School for German Brides by Aimie K. Runyan

This is by far a except able book by Aimie K Runyan. This is the first time reading a book by this author. She has a wonderful way of making you really think about the storyline. I love the story and how it draws me in from the first page. I've read a lot of fictional book about WWII but never one that talks about Germans grooming young ladies to be German brides for German officers.  The characters were so likeable and you will love learning about them.  I will definitely be reading more books by this author.

I would highly recommend this book. It is full of every you love in a book.

I rate this book a 5 out of 5 star's
