 "Daughter of Cana"
 (Jerusalem Road Book #1)
By
Angela Hunt

Synopsis: Thomas and Tasmin twins, whom were hired to oversee a wedding feast on Cana.  They begin to worry when they ran out of wine, until a guest tells Tasmin to fill the pitchers with water.  She was reluctant but the water did turned to wine.  Are you going to follow Thomas and Tasmin as they follow the Nazarene.

My Thoughts: Angela Hunt wrote another great book.  I have read several of her books and she leaves me amazed.  "Daughter of Cana" is one of her best book I've read.   It is a page turner and I felt like I was there.  This is the first book in a new series and I can't wait to read the next one. If you love a Christian historical period piece, you will need to read "Daughter of Cana" .

Favorite quote"I am the light of the world.  The one who follows me will no longer walk in darkness, but will have the light of life".

Rating: I am giving this book a rating of a 5 out of 5.  I will highly recommend this book to family, friends and others

A Rebellious Lady for the Brokenhearted Duke

"A Rebellious Lady for the Brokenhearted Duke"
By
Leah Conolly

Synopsis: His second chance at happiness, her only chance at freedom. A love against all odds.
Elizabeth Gladstone has always been and will be a wild lady. James Graham, the widowed Duke of Darrington has the same reaction at first but she might change his mind.

My thoughts: I have to say that Leah Conolly has written a very cute, romance regency book.  You fall in love with the likeable characters from the very beginning.  You have James is a single father, whom is struggling to move forward with his life after the death of his wife. Then there is Elizabeth who is struggling to keep her independence.  Will they solve each other's problems together!  Read and see what happens!

Favorite quote: "I find myself believing in impossible things too".

Rating: I rate 5 out of 5.  I will highly recommend this book to family and friends.

The Green Dress

"The Green Dress"
By
Liq Tolsma

My first thought about this book after reading the description was can this really be a True Crime.  This a great addition to the "True Colors" series. This book is a book with suspense, wonder and love. It's a page turner a very hard to put down.

The Green Dress is set in Boston in the 1880. The story is about a sinister plot to kill off family members. The author wrote a well written book. I spend a lot of time wondering what's next, who is doing it and especially  when the green dress would come into the story.  There were several night's that I would get up to read the book!

Favorite quote: "None of us know what life is going to bring from day to day. We just live and walk in God's Grace through it all.

I give this book a give it a 5 🌟

I will highly recommend this book to family and friends on Facebook,Bookbud, Amazon, Barnes and noble, and Goodreads.

I received this complimentary copy from Barbour and I was under no obligation to write a review.  All thoughts and opinions are mine.

Standoff

(Natchez Trace Park Ranger, Book 1)
By
Patricia Bradley
If you love a book with suspense, intrigue and romance, this is a page turner for you.  I just love a book that catches my eye from the cover to the very first page.  I spent most of the book wondering what's going to happen next and "WHO" did it!
Patricia Bradley made the characters likable. The main character is Brooke, a Natchez park ranger, whom is investigating the death of her father.  There was also Luke a childhood friend, whom just came back to town after being gone for 14 years.  There's also Jeremy, he's goal is to move up in politics.  Both men have a secret they are trying to keep from Brooke.
Get the book and find out what the secrets are and see all the twist and turns for yourself!

I'm giving this book a 5 out of 5

The White Rose Resists by Amanda Barratt

Synopsis : The ideal of a new Germany swept up Sophie Scholl in a maelstrom of patriotic fervor - - that is, until she realized the truth behind Hitler's machinations for the fatherland.  Now she and other student's in Munich, the cradle of the Nazi government, have banded together to form a group to fight for the truth: the White Rose.  Risking everything to print and distribution leaflets calling Germans to ride up against the evil permeating their country, the White Rose threads a knives edge of discovery by the Gestapo.

My Thought's : I have to begin by saying, this book about Sophie Scholl was a page turner, remarkable story line and intriguing. the book isn't just about Sophie, but about a group of friends. The author is able to make you feel like you are part of the book. What a remarkable group of young people whom had the courage to stand up for what they believed in. To go against the most horrible man in history.  To know what might happen to them if they were caught. They stood on their beliefs, with God as their anchor.

Thinking through this book, I don't know if I would have been able to do what they did. Would I be able to stand up for what I believe and know that no matter how hard thing's got God is with me and has a plan for everything.

Recommend :  I will recommend this book to friend's and family though Amazon, Bookbud, Netgalley, Barnes and Noble, Facebook, Goodread and my blog.

Rating : 5 out of 5
