 "Hopes Highest Mountain"
 By
Misty Beller

Hopes Highest Mountain written by Misty Beller is one of my favorite.  I love Misty Beller books and I'm not disappointed by this book.  This book is about a outbreak of small pox and getting their much needed medicine.  It's a book of faith and love, which is always a great combination. I just love the characters, because they are so likeable.  Misty made you think you are back in this time where outbreaks of any kind was ten fold. The one amazing thing is I couldn't put it down.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes a great book!

I give it a 5 out of

The Blizzard Bride

The Blizzard Bride" is book 11 in the "Daughters of the Mayflower" series. This like all in this series is a stand alone.  "The Blizzard Bride" was written by Susanna Dietze.  The story is set in the year of 1888. It was a page turn and filled with adventure, love and a funny seen with a skunk. I can see that the author spent a lot of time researching the historical aspect of this book.  The characters are likeable and I couldn't wait to see what happens next. I will definitely read The Blizzard Bride again.

I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars

I will love recommend this book to anyone who want a great Christian Historical fiction.

The Rebel Bride

The Rebel Bride
By
Shannon MacNear

"The Rebel Bride" was a wonderful addition to the Daughters of the Mayflower" series. The civil war was one of the most bloodiest war ever fought . Families were torn apart because of what side they fought on. It was brother against brother.  This is the first book by Shannon MacNear I have read and she didn't disappoint me. Shannon MacNear wrote a great story of love, war and forgiveness.

I give this a 5 out of 5

I would gladly recommend this book to anyone who likes a great book!

The Gray Chamber

 "The Gray Chamber"
By
Grace Hitchcock

The author Grace Hitchcock wrote a great addition to the "True Colors - Historical Stories of American Crime".

There is several things about this book I found interesting. The author made Edyth Foster a very likable person. Edith was funny, not afraid to be different for the time period of 1887. She was not a prime and proper woman till Lavinia (her uncle's step daughter) came to town. She loved to ride a velocipede and loved fencing, which was a male sport.  Through fencing, she fell in love with her instructor Bane, who never saw her in a romantic light.
She had everything going for her, till her world changed forever.

The other things I found interesting is the asylum. It was so easy to have someone committed during the 1800's.  Back then the treatment was horrendous! Everything from lack of food, locking up while tied to their cot and taken to a room no one ever wants to go, the dreaded room called the gray chamber.

I would recommend this book to anyone. I'm giving th is book
a five out of five stars.
